The maker of Splenda, McNeil Nutritionals, LLC, Fort Washington, PA, has launched Sun Crystals All-Natural Sweetener, which combines stevia with pure cane sugar. According to the company, the product contains five calories per packet, and one packet has the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar. The product debuted at Wal-Mart Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets across the U.S. in March, prior to planned nationwide roll-out at additional retailers.
